Breast Cancer Awareness Month: "Octobre rose"

From October 1st to 31st, Breast Cancer Awareness Month, known as “Octobre Rose” in France - raises awareness about breast cancer, a disease affecting millions of women world-wide. The 2024 campaign continues with a clear message: the importance of early detection, support for patients, and ongoing research.

Breast cancer remains the most common cancer globally, with approximately 2.3 million new cases each year. That is why early detection through regular mammograms and self-exams significantly improves the chances of recovery and are radically important.

To support the cause, communities can organize events such as runs, information forums, cultural activities like screenings of movies that shed light on this sensible cause, or open hospital days to promote the mammographies and regular exams. These initiatives help spread critical information and encourage detection, making a difference in the fight against breast cancer.
